The Circle of Horses therapeutic program provides treatment to individuals with physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities. The program utilizes two types of therapists. One is a  therapeutic riding instructor, and the other is a trained equine that is responsive to participants and imparts unconditional love. The program creates an environment that allows individuals to interact with volunteers from the community. A key outcome and success measure of this program is improved day-to-day communication skills of the participants (listening and speaking) achieved through improved concentration, patience, confidence and self-esteem.

Program Participants include individuals 4 years of age and up. Veterans as well as Seniors Citizens are welcome with or without walkers or wheel chairs.

The coast facility will operate year round with four eight-week sessions. Fees are $25.00 per hour which go to the care of the horses. Each session will offer partial and full scholarships to those individuals and families with low incomes. The facility will obtain it’s funding through fees, donations, and grants.

We are affiliated with Ridgewood Ranch T.R.A.I.L. Riders Association (T.R.A.I.L.) in Willits. T.R.A.I.L. offers a therapeutic riding program for individuals with disabilities living inland. They have been our inspiration and our mentor.
